Sunday, October 6th w/ 9:00AM shotgun start
The number of golfers that signed up to play for the September event were very low and with only a couple of days before the confirmation date at the golf course… it didn’t look good. Some people were on vacation, some had other plans (some didn’t sign up quick enough) so Sweater Day was rescheduled to a different date and another course (we did try Lake Ridge). Hopefully more people will sign up for this new event. Like Griswald, we’re planning our next event at a golf course that I bet not many have played.
We’re still playing 9-hole courses (twice around) this year to capitalize on the shotgun start concept. Hopefully the size of our group grows so we can play locally once again or golf prices go down.
Oakland GC which is just outside of Council Bluffs (20 miles east of Bent Tree) and 40 miles from Omaha. You can bring a non-member as a guest (for $X more) so everyone can compete for the “high dollar prizes” we give out. Not mote than two guests per team please.
Tee Time will be a shotgun start at 9:00AM on Sunday morning.
A luncheon provided afterwards for the scramble group and someone will bring doughnuts for the early-bird golfers.
A different format will be played (different from Griswald).

Oakland, Ia GC is straight east on Highway 6. Only 42 miles away (for me) and will be a ShotGun Start. Room for only 9-teams, So sign up quickly.
