Fall Softball Signup time is NOW and in the OSC Store for Purchase

    Can you believe it with June already half gone, we are ready for Fall Softball Signups.  If interested please go to the Omaha Sports Club website STORE and purchase a ticket to play ASAP (limited number of tickets available).  We will start play on August 27^th and play for 7 weeks with no games on Labor Day weekend Sept. 3^rd.  Your softball fee will cover the cost of registration, softballs, umpire fees, a small fee added for the season end party, and possibly some free batting cage time, made available for all the teams.  Any questions please email me at mbmenke@cox.net as soon as possible or text me your questions to 319-931-8204.  The cost to play will be $44.00 if paid before July 20^th, and $55.00 after July 20^th up to midnight on the deadline of August 10^th, 2023.  There will also be an application to play softball on the website that you can print and mail to me, but the fastest way to lock in your spot to play is via the STORE purchase.

    If you had a chance to play on one of the teams in the summer, I could tell it looked like you were all having a pretty good time, especially at the social gatherings after the games.  Some teams chose to spend some time at Moe & Curly’s – thanks to them for providing the team T-shirts.  Also, some of the players on the teams came based on recommendations from the Ultimate Baseball Academy who organizes our leagues and schedules.  Thanks to both of them for their support.

    Regarding summer softball with the tournament soon to come, I would suggest if you would like to come out and see our teams, we play on Sunday Evenings at Kelley Fields on 124^th and Fort Street on fields number 7 or 8 around 6:30 to 8:30 game times.  Say Hi to the team and coaches so we can see who are cheerleaders are.  Maybe take some time to say Thank You to our wonderful coaches who work so hard for the players to make sure they had a good time.  If you could have joined us about a week ago, you could have watched a really good game where the Blue team knocked the 1^st place team out of 1^st.  The Red team tried so hard also to knock out the 2^nd place team but came up short of doing it.  The Green team has just slowly been climbing their way to the top spot but not there yet.  We will see what the Green team can do these last four weeks – can they make it to the top or not.

• I joined The OSC to play in the softball league. I'm having a great time playing and meeting fun people. I'd highly recommend joining if you are interested in softball and meeting fun people with the same interests. 
• My favorite thing about OSC softball is the wide range of personalities that join the teams that I wouldn't normally get to interact with otherwise.  People of all different ages, backgrounds, and abilities coming together to have fun and hopefully learn something from one another.
• Playing OSC softball is great. Having multiple teams makes finding subs, if needed, super easy. It’s also a great way to get to meet new people in a fun environment. The team get togethers after the games are pretty fun too.
