Omaha Sports Club August Scramble at Syracuse C.C.

Our July scramble was cancelled... a rain out. Only my 3rd Rainout in 19 years. Once at Highland GC in Lincoln (where we waited for at least an hour for it to clear) and once at Majestic Hills GC in Denison, Iowa (where we started to play but came in after 9 holes and had lunch).. some of the tougher golfers played all 18.
We waited inside the clubhouse at Syracuse CC but it never let up, fairways became rivers and local roads became unpassable. We rescheduled our event for August on the last Sunday in August.
Syracuse is straight south on Highway 50 (45-50 minutes)… that’s kinda like driving across Omaha on Pacific street with all that construction. Our event at Syracuse includes a fried chicken dinner with 2-sides and desert with a shotgun start.
