Despite gusty winds, poorly placed Gold Tees and no beverage cart on the course; this Sweater Day is in the books. Our planned event at Oakland GC (in Oakland Iowa) was moved because of irrigation repairs and rescheduled 5 days before our date. Luckily Whispering Woods golf course was available but our shotgun start format was changed to tee times. Thanks so much to all those that played especially those that played with teams put together individually and to those that started early and had to wait for the last groups to finish.
Flight Winners were:
First Place - First Flight: Kevin & Cindee Adams, Steve Heinz & Nancy Gilliland (67).
First Place - Second Flight: Sharalyn Clark, Alvin Harman, Bri Dahlgren & Matt Beckman (75 - first handicapped hole).
First Place - Third Flight: Brad & Candi Coe, Glen Schwanz and Dee Bigge (75 - fourth handicapped hole).
Four teams finished with a score of 75, the winners were determined by scores on hole handicap. Only one other team shot a sub par score: Sue Moskovits, Deaun Trayer, Glen Mears & Gene Hug (68).
